Payment Terms.

These terms explain consumer payments in BTR Music, including in-app purchases, subscriptions, paid digital features, tips, credits, cancellations, refunds, Apple App Store billing, Google Play billing, entitlement removal, disputed transactions, and payment support.

LAST UPDATED · 29 JUNE 2026 · NEW SOUTH WALES, AUSTRALIA

These Payment Terms govern payments made by users of the BTR Music website, iOS app, Android app, and related consumer services (the “Services”). The Services are operated by OUTERMARK GROUP PTY LTD (ACN 699 247 277) of Level 1, 446 Oxford St, Bondi Junction NSW 2022, Australia (“BTR Music”, “BTR”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

These Payment Terms supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By making a purchase, starting a subscription, buying a paid feature, sending a tip, using credits, receiving access to paid features, or otherwise using payment-related features in BTR Music, you agree to these Payment Terms.

Core payment rule: BTR Music purchases are non-refundable except where required by Australian Consumer Law, applicable app-store rules, or another applicable law. BTR Music is not required to provide a refund because you changed your mind, bought the wrong item, made an accidental purchase, forgot to cancel, stopped using the app, disliked a feature or content, used only part of a subscription period, expected an artist to respond, lost access because you breached our terms, or no longer want access.

Non-refundable

BTR Music purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by law, app-store rules, or BTR Music’s discretion.

App-store billing

Apple and Google may process charges, refunds, subscription management, taxes, local pricing and payment support under their own rules.

Subscriptions

Deleting the app or account does not cancel a subscription. You must cancel through Apple or Google where the subscription was purchased.

1. Scope

These Payment Terms apply to consumer-side payments made in connection with BTR Music. They apply to paid features made available on the BTR Music website, inside the BTR Music iOS app, inside the BTR Music Android app, or through any consumer payment flow operated or supported by BTR Music.

These Payment Terms do not govern artist payouts, seller earnings, marketplace seller wallets, streaming payout programs, artist workspace payments, or event-organizer payments on BeatsToRapOn. Artist-facing payment terms, artist payouts, seller earnings, and creator monetisation are handled on the artist-facing BeatsToRapOn platform and are governed by the applicable BeatsToRapOn payment terms.

If there is an inconsistency between these Payment Terms and the Terms of Service, these Payment Terms control only for consumer payment, billing, refund, entitlement, credit, subscription, and payment-support matters, unless the Terms of Service expressly say otherwise.

2. Payment types

BTR Music may offer paid products, digital features, digital access, paid entitlements, credits, and subscriptions from time to time. We do not need to list every individual product, SKU, button, package, or feature name in these Payment Terms for these Payment Terms to apply.

Payment categories may include:

  • one-off in-app purchases;
  • auto-renewing subscriptions;
  • consumable digital purchases;
  • non-consumable digital purchases;
  • tips, fan support, paid artist access, paid messages, paid requests, or similar artist-support features;
  • paid access, boosts, credits, entries, unlocks, badges, status, priority features, rewards, or other app features;
  • paid event-related features, where offered;
  • trial access, promotional offers, promotional credits, bonus credits, or goodwill credits;
  • subscription upgrades, downgrades, renewals, trials, introductory offers, and reactivations; and
  • any other paid product, service, access right, entitlement, subscription, or digital feature made available by BTR Music from time to time.

The specific title, price, duration, renewal period, basic description, and main features of a paid item are shown in the relevant purchase screen, app-store product page, checkout flow, or confirmation screen before purchase where required.

3. Store billing and payment processors

3.1 Apple and Google billing

  • If you purchase through the BTR Music iOS app, the purchase may be processed by Apple App Store, Apple In-App Purchase, Apple StoreKit, or another Apple-approved billing mechanism.
  • If you purchase through the BTR Music Android app, the purchase may be processed by Google Play Billing or another Google-approved billing mechanism.
  • Apple or Google may charge your payment method, collect or remit taxes, apply local price tiers, process refunds, manage subscriptions, apply family-sharing or account rules, and control billing support under their own terms, policies, and technical systems.
  • Where Apple or Google controls the transaction, BTR Music may be unable to directly refund, reverse, cancel, alter, or manually adjust the transaction except through the tools Apple or Google make available.

3.2 Website and other supported payment methods

  • Where BTR Music offers website checkout or another consumer payment flow, supported payment methods will be shown in the relevant checkout or payment screen.
  • BTR Music may use third-party payment processors, app stores, acquiring banks, card networks, fraud processors, tax processors, wallet providers, and other payment service providers to process, verify, settle, refund, reverse, or support payments.
  • By submitting a payment, you represent that you are authorised to use the selected payment method and that the transaction is lawful.
  • You authorise BTR Music and its payment service providers to charge your selected payment method for the price, taxes, fees, renewal charges, subscription charges, adjustments, and other amounts shown or authorised in the relevant purchase flow.

3.3 Payment data

  • BTR Music does not receive or store your full card number, Apple payment credentials, Google payment credentials, bank login, or full payment method details for app-store purchases processed by Apple or Google.
  • BTR Music may receive and store transaction IDs, receipts, purchase tokens, product IDs, subscription status, entitlement status, refund status, timestamps, amount, currency, country, device, account, and related records needed to verify purchases, grant access, restore access, prevent fraud, handle support, maintain accounting records, respond to disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Prices, currency and taxes

  • Prices are shown before purchase in the applicable purchase screen, app-store flow, checkout flow, or confirmation screen.
  • Prices may vary by country, currency, platform, app store, product type, tax treatment, promotional period, app version, device, account type, local price tier, or payment provider.
  • Apple, Google, and payment providers may calculate local prices, tax-inclusive prices, foreign exchange, store fees, and payment handling according to their own rules.
  • BTR Music may change prices, product structures, bundles, paid features, subscription tiers, credit values, payment methods, and promotional offers from time to time.
  • Unless prohibited by law or app-store rules, price changes, product changes, and feature changes do not create a right to a refund for past purchases or unused access.
  • You are responsible for any taxes, fees, currency conversion charges, bank charges, app-store charges, payment-provider charges, or other third-party charges that apply to your purchase, except where BTR Music, Apple, Google, or another provider is required by law to collect or remit them.

5. Non-refundable purchase policy

5.1 No change-of-mind refunds

  • BTR Music does not provide refunds for change of mind.
  • BTR Music does not provide refunds because you bought the wrong item, made an accidental purchase, misunderstood the feature, changed your preferences, found another service, stopped using the app, disliked a feature, disliked content, expected different results, expected an artist to respond, expected social engagement, expected popularity, or no longer want the purchase.
  • BTR Music does not provide refunds because you failed to use the purchase, only used part of the purchase, only used part of a subscription period, forgot to cancel, missed a renewal reminder, deleted the app, signed out, deleted your account, changed device, changed country, lost interest, or stopped using BTR Music.
  • BTR Music does not provide refunds because a feature, artist, user, track, playlist, event, scene, chart, reward, status, badge, boost, credit, unlock, or piece of content did not meet your personal expectations, unless a refund is required by law or app-store rules.

5.2 No refunds for account breach or removed access

  • BTR Music does not provide refunds where access is suspended, restricted, removed, or terminated because you breached the Terms of Service, these Payment Terms, community standards, safety rules, payment rules, fraud rules, anti-abuse rules, or applicable law.
  • BTR Music may remove, reverse, suspend, restrict, or refuse access to paid features where a transaction is refunded, reversed, charged back, disputed, unauthorised, fraudulent, abusive, invalid, duplicated, obtained by mistake, or connected to platform misuse.
  • Loss of access caused by your account conduct, policy breach, device restrictions, payment failure, failed subscription renewal, app-store account issue, or breach of platform rules does not create a refund right except where required by law or app-store rules.

5.3 No cash value

  • Paid access, credits, boosts, entries, badges, unlocks, rewards, app status, subscriptions, digital items, and similar entitlements have no cash value unless BTR Music expressly says otherwise in writing.
  • Credits and digital entitlements are not withdrawable, not redeemable for cash, not transferable, not bankable, and not exchangeable for money or other value outside BTR Music.

6. Subscriptions and cancellation

  • BTR Music may offer auto-renewing subscriptions. Subscription benefits, duration, price, renewal period, and key terms are shown before purchase in the relevant app-store or in-app purchase flow.
  • Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your Apple or Google account settings, or another relevant subscription-management flow, before the renewal deadline set by Apple, Google, or the applicable payment provider.
  • If you subscribe through Apple, you must manage or cancel the subscription through your Apple ID subscription settings.
  • If you subscribe through Google Play, you must manage or cancel the subscription through your Google Play subscription settings.
  • Deleting the BTR Music app, signing out, deleting your BTR Music account, uninstalling the app, disabling notifications, not opening the app, or stopping use of the app does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription.
  • BTR Music is not responsible for renewal charges caused by your failure to cancel through the relevant app-store account settings or subscription-management flow before renewal.
  • Unless required by Australian Consumer Law, applicable app-store rules, or another applicable law, BTR Music does not provide prorated refunds, partial refunds, credits, or cash refunds for unused subscription time, partially used subscription periods, forgotten cancellations, renewal charges, or subscription periods you chose not to use.
  • If you cancel a subscription, access usually continues until the end of the current paid period unless Apple, Google, refund handling, payment failure, entitlement rules, account status, law, or app-store rules say otherwise.
  • If a subscription payment fails, Apple, Google, or the relevant payment provider may apply grace periods, retry periods, billing recovery, account holds, pauses, cancellation, or subscription expiry under their own rules.

7. Consumables, credits and paid digital features

  • Some paid features are consumable. A consumable feature may be used, spent, assigned, delivered, entered, boosted, displayed, unlocked, credited, allocated, triggered, consumed, or otherwise fulfilled after purchase.
  • Consumable purchases are non-refundable once verified, delivered, assigned, consumed, used, displayed, credited, unlocked, entered, boosted, allocated, triggered, or otherwise made available, except where required by Australian Consumer Law, applicable app-store rules, or another applicable law.
  • Non-consumable digital purchases are non-refundable once verified, delivered, assigned, unlocked, made available, or linked to your account, except where required by Australian Consumer Law, applicable app-store rules, or another applicable law.
  • Credits, promotional balances, goodwill credits, trial access, bonus access, or similar non-cash items have no cash value, are not withdrawable, are not transferable, and may expire or be removed according to the terms attached to them.
  • BTR Music may correct, reverse, remove, expire, reduce, or adjust credits or entitlements that were issued by mistake, fraud, abuse, duplicate processing, payment reversal, refund, chargeback, technical error, policy breach, or platform manipulation.
  • If a credit, boost, entry, unlock, paid feature, or other entitlement is used before a refund, reversal, chargeback, or dispute is processed, BTR Music may remove the entitlement, reverse connected benefits, restrict the account, or set off the value against other credits or future access to the extent permitted by law and app-store rules.

8. Tips, fan support and artist-related purchases

  • BTR Music may allow users to support artists through tips, fan support, paid access, subscriptions, paid messages, paid requests, shoutouts, backer features, premium access, or similar artist-related features.
  • Where these features are offered inside the mobile app as digital features, digital access, or in-app digital benefits, they may be processed through Apple or Google billing.
  • Tips, fan support, artist access, and artist-related purchases are non-refundable once confirmed, delivered, assigned, consumed, credited, displayed, unlocked, made available, or otherwise fulfilled, except where required by Australian Consumer Law, applicable app-store rules, or another applicable law.
  • Sending a tip, buying artist-related digital access, becoming a supporter, purchasing a paid request, or buying a similar feature does not guarantee that an artist will reply, follow, message, perform, collaborate, promote, repost, approve, accept, acknowledge, remain active, keep content available, or otherwise interact with you unless the specific paid feature expressly says so.
  • BTR Music is not responsible for personal expectations about artist behaviour, artist availability, artist response times, artist popularity, artist outcomes, user engagement, chart performance, social reaction, or subjective satisfaction with artist content, except where required by law.
  • BTR Music may remove, reverse, withhold, or adjust benefits connected with refunded, reversed, disputed, fraudulent, invalid, abusive, or policy-breaching transactions.

9. Refunds required by law or app-store rules

9.1 Australian Consumer Law

  • Nothing in these Payment Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, remedy, liability, condition, warranty, or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified under Australian Consumer Law.
  • If the Services fail to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy required by law.
  • Depending on the issue and the applicable law, the remedy may include correction, replacement access, re-supply, refund, cancellation, compensation, credit, or another remedy required by law.
  • Where the law permits BTR Music to choose the remedy, BTR Music may choose the remedy it considers appropriate, including correction, replacement access, re-supply, credit, entitlement restoration, or refund.

9.2 Apple and Google refunds

  • If your purchase was processed by Apple, refund requests may need to be submitted through Apple’s refund tools, Apple account tools, Apple purchase history, or Apple Support.
  • If your purchase was processed by Google Play, refund requests may need to be submitted through Google Play’s refund tools, Google Play account tools, Google Play purchase history, or Google Play Support.
  • Apple or Google may approve, reject, process, reverse, or control refunds according to their own rules, technical systems, account rules, evidence requirements, and local laws.
  • BTR Music may be unable to directly refund, reverse, or alter an Apple or Google transaction except through tools Apple or Google make available.
  • If Apple or Google grants a refund, BTR Music may remove, reverse, suspend, or adjust the related entitlement, access, credit, subscription status, paid feature, badge, boost, status, artist access, or connected benefit.

10. BTR Music discretionary remedies

  • Even where a refund is not legally required, BTR Music may, at its discretion, provide a refund, credit, replacement access, corrected entitlement, restored access, goodwill credit, or other remedy where BTR Music considers it appropriate.
  • BTR Music’s decision to provide a refund, credit, replacement access, corrected entitlement, or other remedy in one case does not require BTR Music to do the same in any other case.
  • A discretionary refund, credit, replacement access, corrected entitlement, or goodwill remedy is not an admission of fault, liability, legal obligation, recurring policy, or waiver of these Payment Terms.
  • BTR Music may refuse a discretionary remedy where the request relates to change of mind, accidental purchase, failure to cancel, partial use, user error, buyer’s remorse, account breach, abuse, fraud, chargeback activity, policy violation, or subjective dissatisfaction.
  • BTR Music may require information, records, screenshots, receipts, purchase tokens, device details, account details, timestamps, or other evidence before considering a payment-support request.

11. Failed, duplicate or disputed transactions

  • If you believe a transaction failed, duplicated, charged incorrectly, or did not deliver the expected entitlement, contact BTR Music support at contact@btrmusic.com.
  • BTR Music may investigate failed delivery, duplicate charge, verified technical error, entitlement failure, payment processing error, or unauthorised transaction claims.
  • If BTR Music verifies a failed entitlement delivery, BTR Music may provide replacement access, corrected entitlement, restored access, credit, refund support, or another remedy BTR Music considers appropriate, subject to Australian Consumer Law, app-store rules, and payment-provider rules.
  • For Apple purchases, you may also need to use Apple’s purchase history, subscription, refund, or support tools.
  • For Google Play purchases, you may also need to use Google Play’s purchase history, subscription, refund, or support tools.
  • BTR Music may provide Apple, Google, payment processors, banks, card networks, support providers, fraud providers, tax providers, or relevant authorities with transaction records, entitlement records, account records, device information, timestamps, logs, and support records where needed to investigate or respond to a disputed transaction.

12. Chargebacks and external payment disputes

  • If you open a chargeback, payment dispute, bank reversal, app-store refund request, processor claim, or external payment claim, BTR Music may suspend, remove, restrict, or reverse the related entitlement while the issue is reviewed.
  • If a transaction is refunded, reversed, charged back, disputed, found unauthorised, found fraudulent, or found invalid, BTR Music may remove or reverse the connected paid access, credit, subscription status, digital item, boost, badge, reward, fan-support status, artist access, or other benefit.
  • BTR Music may contest chargebacks, payment disputes, bank reversals, processor claims, app-store claims, and external disputes, and may provide transaction evidence, account evidence, entitlement evidence, logs, support records, device records, receipts, purchase tokens, timestamps, IP or network data, and other relevant records.
  • To the extent permitted by law and app-store rules, BTR Music may restrict accounts associated with repeated chargebacks, refund abuse, dispute abuse, payment fraud, unauthorised payment claims, or payment manipulation.
  • External payment disputes may be handled by Apple, Google, card networks, banks, payment processors, wallet providers, or other third parties. BTR Music is not responsible for delays, outcomes, deductions, account restrictions, or decisions made by those third parties.

13. Restoring purchases and account deletion

  • Where app-store rules require restore functionality, BTR Music will provide a way to restore eligible purchases linked to your Apple or Google account.
  • Some purchases, especially consumable purchases, may not be restorable after they have been used, spent, assigned, delivered, consumed, credited, entered, unlocked, or otherwise fulfilled.
  • Some entitlements may be account-specific and may not transfer between accounts, devices, platforms, operating systems, countries, Apple IDs, Google accounts, phone numbers, emails, or BTR Music accounts unless BTR Music expressly supports that transfer.
  • Deleting your BTR Music account does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google subscription. You must cancel subscriptions through your Apple or Google account settings, or the relevant subscription-management flow.
  • If you delete your BTR Music account, BTR Music may remove account-linked access, subject to applicable law, app-store rules, active subscriptions, support handling, fraud prevention, accounting records, legal records, and the retention rules in our Privacy Policy.
  • BTR Music does not provide a refund merely because you deleted your account, deleted the app, changed devices, lost access to an app-store account, lost access to an email account, or failed to preserve account credentials, except where required by law or app-store rules.

14. Fraud, misuse and entitlement removal

  • BTR Music may refuse, suspend, reverse, remove, or restrict paid access, credits, entitlements, subscriptions, tips, status, rewards, digital items, or related benefits if we reasonably believe a transaction is fraudulent, abusive, disputed, reversed, refunded, charged back, unauthorised, invalid, duplicated, obtained by mistake, or connected with a breach of our Terms.
  • BTR Music may limit, suspend, or terminate accounts involved in payment abuse, refund abuse, chargeback abuse, fraud, account sharing, unauthorised access, artificial activity, platform manipulation, app-store abuse, or policy violations.
  • BTR Music may correct payment records, entitlement records, credit records, subscription records, and account records to fix technical errors, processing errors, duplicate charges, duplicate credits, incorrect access, mistaken entitlements, or mistaken product mappings.
  • BTR Music may reverse benefits or access issued by mistake, including where a purchase was not validly completed, where payment was not received, where app-store verification failed, where a receipt or purchase token is invalid, or where an entitlement was granted incorrectly.

15. Changes to paid features

  • BTR Music may change paid features, prices, product structures, subscription tiers, trial offers, promotional offers, credit values, billing methods, available payment methods, app-store products, product names, feature names, and payment availability from time to time.
  • BTR Music may add, remove, rename, re-price, pause, restrict, discontinue, replace, or modify paid features, credits, boosts, unlocks, badges, rewards, subscriptions, and other digital entitlements, subject to applicable law and app-store rules.
  • Some features may not be available in all countries, currencies, platforms, app versions, devices, or account types.
  • Unless required by law or app-store rules, changes to product names, feature names, product structures, artist availability, content availability, app design, ranking logic, discovery logic, pricing, or available features do not create a right to a refund for past purchases.
  • If BTR Music changes these Payment Terms, we will update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of paid features after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Payment Terms.
  • Where app-store rules or law require additional notice or consent for a subscription change, price change, or renewal change, that notice or consent process will be handled through the relevant app store or applicable payment flow.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BTR Music, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, payment providers, app-store providers, processors, fraud providers, tax providers, banks, card networks, and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, exemplary, or enhanced damages, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of opportunity, lost access, lost benefits, lost status, third-party payment failures, app-store decisions, payment-provider failures, bank delays, tax handling, currency conversion differences, artist non-response, subjective dissatisfaction, content availability, entitlement delays, or account restrictions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BTR Music is not liable for Apple, Google, bank, card network, app-store, payment processor, tax provider, fraud provider, wallet provider, or third-party decisions, delays, deductions, refund decisions, subscription failures, billing failures, payment failures, account holds, chargeback outcomes, app-store account restrictions, or payment-provider account restrictions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BTR Music’s total aggregate liability for payment-related claims is limited to the greater of: (i) the amount you paid directly for the specific BTR Music paid feature giving rise to the claim in the three months before the claim arose; or (ii) AUD $100.

Nothing in this section excludes, restricts, or modifies any liability, right, remedy, guarantee, or condition that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified under Australian Consumer Law or another applicable law. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

17. Governing law

These Payment Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Disputes relating to these Payment Terms will be handled in accordance with our Terms of Service, except where Australian Consumer Law, app-store rules, or another applicable law gives you rights that cannot be limited.

18. Payment support

Include your BTR Music account email or username, purchase date, product name, platform, receipt, order ID, Apple transaction information, Google Play order information, screenshots, and any relevant support details.
